Insurance Coverage Policy
Respire Airway & Sleep Clinics accepts insurance for in-patient (IP) surgical procedures only.
What is Covered by Insurance
Insurance may cover the following surgical procedures when they require hospitalization:
- Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)
- Septoplasty
- Sleep apnea surgical procedures (UPPP, genioglossus advancement, etc.)
- Bronchoscopy with biopsy (when performed as an in-patient procedure)
- Other ENT or pulmonary surgeries requiring admission
What is NOT Covered by Insurance
The following services are not covered by insurance and must be paid out-of-pocket:
- Outpatient consultations and clinic visits
- Diagnostic tests (spirometry, allergy testing, nasal endoscopy, chest X-ray, CT scan)
- Home sleep apnea testing (HSAT)
- In-office procedures (minor procedures not requiring hospitalization)
- Follow-up visits
- Medications and prescriptions
Important Notes
- Insurance coverage varies significantly by provider, policy, and individual plan
- We recommend verifying your specific coverage before scheduling any surgical procedure
- Our team will assist with insurance coordination and provide detailed cost estimates for all surgical procedures
Payment Policy
- Outpatient consultations and diagnostic tests require payment at the time of service
- Surgical procedures require advance deposit; insurance claims processed post-procedure
- We accept cash, card, UPI, and all major payment methods
Appointment Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
- Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee
- Emergency cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis
Patient Rights and Responsibilities
- Patients have the right to clear information about diagnosis, treatment options, and costs
- Patients are responsible for providing accurate medical history and insurance information
- Patients are expected to follow treatment plans and attend scheduled follow-ups
